Recent Licence Applications
Following the initial refusal of their licence applications the applicants involved took their case to the Sheriff Court where the council admitted that there had been a "denial of natural justice," since an updated report on demand for taxi services had not reached the applicants until after the committee meeting.
The sheriff referred the applications back to the council for reconsideration. The Regulatory Committee met on Wednesday 10th October 2007 and after due deliberation again refused the applications on the grounds that the applicants had not provided any new evidence of unmet demand.
However this is not accepted by the applicants who are now preparing yet another appeal.
